Achievement: Rewriting and restructuring many information sheets and booklets to produce an easy-to-understand, easy-to-use guide for coast care volunteers.
The project: Many thousands of Victorians volunteer their time through coastal committees of management to look after our state's foreshore areas. The department wanted to provide them with an attractive, informative resource to help them do this work. We reviewed the existing range of departmental information sheets, written over many years by many people, and used them to create an informative and easily accessible manual combining basic scientific information with practical how-to tips.
