Get it Write! backs our commitment to providing quality services with on-time, fee and satisfaction guarantees.

On-time guarantee

Get it Write! offers an on-time guarantee for Polished and Readable editing. We guarantee to return your edited document to you at or before the time stated in our order confirmation e-mail to you. For the 4-hour or Same time next day services, this will be within 4 business hours or 24 clock hours respectively. For the As soon as possible service, we will let you know the deadline before we start work.

If we cannot return your edited document at or before the time stated in our order confirmation e-mail to you, we will:

  • refund you 100% of the amount you paid for the editing
  • complete the work you ordered and return your edited document to you as soon as possible.

We will return your document to your email address. This guarantee will not apply if we have made reasonable efforts to return your document, and our inability to do so is not our fault. This may occur if:

  • the e-mail address you gave us when submitting your document is not correct
  • your mailbox is full and cannot accept the document, or you cannot access your mailbox
  • your administrator or internet service provider blocks or delays the incoming email from us
  • you instruct us to send your document to a cloud service (such as Dropbox) but that service delays delivery of the document.

This guarantee does not apply if:

  • delivery is prevented by circumstances outside our control (such as internet or power outages)
  • where drafts must pass between us several times, and you do not meet agreed deadlines (for example, for approvals or providing further information)
  • we do not accept the work for the reasons stated in the Terms and conditions of use.

We do not offer an on-time guarantee for structural editing because we often write new text for you, rewrite your existing text and ask questions needing further information from you. How long you take to respond to our changes and requests is out of our hands. However, please be assured that we will make every effort to meet your deadline: our clients almost always have a deadline for their important documents, which we must meet, and timeline planning is an integral part of the structural editing service.

Fee guarantee

Get it Write! offers clients a fixed fee guarantee.

If our website gives you a quote for Polished or Readable editing, we will provide the services described on the website for the quoted amount, for the number of words you entered when calculating the quote. If the number of words is not correct, we will recalculate the quote, using the website. You must agree to the new quote before we edit your document.

For other services, we will agree on the scope of the work and our fee to do it, before the work begins. We then guarantee to undertake the work according to the agreed scope and fee.

This effectively means that all fees are fixed and there is nothing more to pay and no unpleasant budget surprises.

The fee guarantee applies only to services provided by Get it Write! and not to services provided by third parties engaged or coordinated by us, as we will explain before such services are ordered.

Satisfaction guarantee

Get it Write! offers clients a satisfaction guarantee.

For Polished and Readable editing, we will re-edit free-of-charge any part of the edited document we send you with which you are not satisfied, so long as you instruct us in writing what further changes are required. We will not edit free-of-charge text that you alter or add after we return your document to you: if you change your document or add new material, you must submit the document as a new order.

Also, we will not edit to a higher level than that for which you have paid (for example, we will not edit for readability and consistency if you ordered Polished editing).

For Structured editing, we will:

  • explain to you the editing process, so you understand the key approval steps and the consequences of approvals
  • re-edit free-of-charge any part of the edited document we send you with which you are not satisfied
  • re-edit free-of-charge text that you add or change in response to our comments or questions.

We will not re-edit documents if you are not satisfied with the style we have used, but did not tell us before we started editing about your particular style requirements. Unless you tell us otherwise, we will follow the style guidelines and recommendations in the Commonwealth of Australia's Style manual for authors, editors and printers (6th edition), Australia's most authoritative and widely followed guide to style. We do not provide refunds with respect to work ordered. Our commitment is to work with you to identify and address particular editing issues, until you are satisfied.

Instances of client dissatisfaction are extremely rare. If you are dissatisfied, please put your specific concerns in an e-mail to us within five working days of receiving your edited document. We will contact you promptly with a plan to address your concerns.

The satisfaction guarantee applies only to services provided by Get it Write! and not to goods and/or services provided by third parties engaged or coordinated by us, as explained before such goods and/or services are ordered. Such goods and services include graphic art, software development and printing.
